Information Standards & Public Education Unit

Provides a range of services including training and development, selection tools development, and research to support the effective and efficient management of the delegated human resource functions within Ministries/Departments/Agencies, as well as to oversee the implementation of the OSC’s employee development and public education/relations programmes.


Participates in the periodic reviews of human resource policies as outlined in the Staff Orders and Public Service Regulations, and makes recommendations for changes where necessary to maintain currency and relevance in keeping with changes in Government policies and contemporary human resource practices.


Provides technical advice to the Ministries, Departments and Agencies on the interpretation and administration of the Staff Orders and Public Service Regulations as well as any other human resource matter. Represents the Commission at local and international meetings, conferences and other fora, as required.


Oversees the development of strategies and programmes to continuously inform and update public officers and other clients/stakeholders on their rights and responsibilities as well as changes and developments in Human Resource Management and Development that influence their operations in an effort to enhance the administration of human resource services within the public sector.
